Pumpkins and Ponies

We took the girls to the local pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins and ride the ponies. Last year Sophie was just 14 months, loved the ponies and afraid of the pumpkins. This year, she loved both the pumpkins and the ponies.....Aubrey as usual just slept. Sophie was so excited to pick out her pumpkin and insisted on carrying it the entire time we were there. Sophie also wanted her pumpkin (who she named Beep Beep) to sleep in her crib.Miss Aubrey, asleep as usual.
This is a photo of Sophie taken last October.....they grow up so quickly.
Loving her pumpkin.
She LOVED the ponies!

Out numbered and a little behind

Most days I'm out numbered, Sophie and Aubrey =2, Mommy=1. So, it tends to put me a little behind on things, like this blog for instance. So here I am taking advantage of both girls napping and updating our blog with some recent photos of the girls.

Back to Reality

Ed is headed back to work tomorrow after having the last two weeks off. It has been so great having him home, I don't know what I would have done without him here!

L.A Zoo
Playing with cousin Isabelle

Teaching Sophie the game of baseball. She was more interested in chasing the ball then hitting it with the bat.
We spent many afternoons at the beach.

Perhaps one of the cutest things I have ever seen.....

High Tea

High tea with Cinderella, Big Elmo, Baby Elmo and one of her baby's.
Then Belle, Sleeping Beaty and Snow White joined the party.
And then daddy came home and had a pre-dinner tea with Sophie and the Princesses.

Even washed her dishes when she was done with her tea party!

She's Two!

We can hardly believe that our little girl turned two yesterday! I kept telling Sophie that it was her birthday and she was going to get presents and cake but that on Saturday we were going to have her Birthday Party. She thinks Elmo is coming to her birthday party, so if anyone wants to show up in an Elmo costume, that would be terrific!

Sophie woke up to her her new Big Girl bike...pink of course waiting for her in the living room! (She does look a little bit like how Fancy Nancy would ride her fancy bike...don't you think?)

We then headed to go see Nemo, aka The Aquarium. Sophie loved seeing "Nemo" in every tank but was especially happy when she say the man (the divers) in the water......"man mama, man"
Of course one has to try out their new bike on the beach boardwalk!

Blowing out her candles on her mini birthday cake. Their was no hesitiation this year! At her 1 year old birthday party she wouldn't go near the cake..this year I had to take the cake away from her!

Happy Birthday Sophie! We love you so much!!

First Visit to the Dentist

Today was Sophie's first trip to the dentist. She did great, as the photos will attest to, that is until I had to hold her in my lap while the dentist examined her teeth and then proceeded to brush them. The sobs started as soon as the dentist started examining her teeth! But, Sophie got a glowing report from the dentist.....and a new toy!

What I wasn't prepared for and obviously no pictures needed of this, was Sophie throwing up in the car not 10 minutes after we left the dentist...clearly something didn't sit well with her!

Of course Sophie chose the truck and not the doll......
