Busy Weekend

Siena's birthday party....cupcakes & cocktails!
Aiden & Bella's birthday party at the park.
Ed creating a chalkboard/magnet wall for Sophie to play on.....hours of fun, right?
Sophie so excited to have discovered how to climb into her exersaucer, but oh sad when she discovered she couldn't get out by herself!
Sophie managed to get herself in the stool, but not out!

It was such a busy weekend at the Olko household. We had party's,....and more party's......then we had house projects...then there was Sophie discovering that she can climb the stairs, crawl in the exersaucer and the stool, and then not get out.....It was such a fun weekend! Weekends are much to short!

This afternoon, my sister Anne, her daughter Isabelle, my friend Hilary and her daughter Paige (not pictured) and Sophie and myself met up for lunch. It was so fun to hang out with other moms.

Sophie's First Sleepover

This past week, Sophie had her first sleepover (mom slept over too) at her cousins house. Sophie thought the pack'n play was to play in...she was so sad to find out that it was not meant for play time but sleep time!

Such a hot day!

No!

No matter how many times we tell Sophie not to touch the TV, she crawls right over to the TV. So tonight, I attempted to barricade the front of the entertainment center with the ottoman and the exersaucer, hoping this would keep her away from the TV, but alas, she was able to find a way to touch the TV. Will she ever learn no?

Father's Day & Dedication

Today was such a great day! We started the day out with Sophie being dedicated at our church. Auntie Anne, Uncle Josh and cousin Isabelle all came to see Sophie being dedicated.....Sophie even let Pastor Glen hold her without crying at all!

We celebrated Ed and Uncle Josh's first official Father's Day together over lunch. Sophie made her Dad a photo book filled with pictures of her and and her dad. Sophie also got her dad a massage, because she thought he might need a bit of relaxing...given the constant go go go of his daughter! It was a great day to celebrate Sophie being dedicated and Ed being a fantastic dad. Sophie loves her dad so much!

I caved.......and there's no turning back

Today Sophie had her first bites of Macaroni & Cheese. We had decided to hold off with foods like this as long as possible as we wanted Sophie to eat only organic healthy foods. However, with her ears bothering her so much, she's barely been eating. So today, I fed her macaroni & cheese, and let me tell you, I have never seen her get so excited about eating and have never seen her eat so fast. Can I withhold this from her any longer????

Such a big girl!

We went hiking this past weekend and put Sophie in the Big Girl hiker backpack. She loved being so high up...I think she likes the idea of being carried around like a Princess.

The Date That Wasn't

Last night, armed with a babysitter and plans for date night, we left Sophie with the babysitter and headed out to a movie. About an hour into the movie we received a call from the babysitter telling us Sophie would not go to sleep, we could hear her screaming and doing sad cry in the background. So, date night ended quite quickly....she was so sad when we got home, her little sad eyes and only wanting mom, it could just break your heart.....is this the start of separation anxiety????
