Well my trip home was great on a number of fronts, like Sophie getting her first Patriots onesie!!! As you can see she has already found multiple uses for it. And no we really didnt plant it there.
Welcome to Birthday Week everyone!! It's Ed here taking over the blogger duty for the day. This is a tradition I started as something special for Sarah. We agreed we should pass it on to Sophie. Basically it was my way of thanking Sarah with little gifts each day leading up to her birthday on which I would give her something she really wanted. The inspiration for the idea came from the little things that Sarah does for me all throughout the year. Well enough with the mushy stuff, today marked Sophies first day of B'day week and tonight she opened a book that we bought her titled "God knows all about me!" She eventually got around the paper and Sarah and I read her the book. Stay tuned for the rest of Sophies inaugural Birthday Week that will climax in the ultimate Super Safari Party on Sunday.
Sophie loves her baby, whose name is Baby. This morning, she found a new place for her baby to sleep....in the bib drawer. It was really sweet to see her kiss the baby and then put the baby in the drawer, close the drawer and then do it all over again.
The ladies (myself, Sophie, my sister Anne and her daughter Isabelle) spent the afternoon in Beverly Hills. This photo was taken at Neiman Marcus...where we saw Lauren Graham...yes, that would be LauraLi from Gilmore Girls. The little ladies just love shopping in Beverly Hills!
We bought Sophie a wagon and today was her first time trying it out. She loves it! She was so sad when it was time to go inside. Sophie is looking forward to riding in the wagon with her cousin!
This evening, my friend Hilary hosted a barrette making party. The barrette's, ribbon, bows, buttons, etc. were provided and everyone else brought their creativity and we created the cutest barrette's for our little girls. It was such a fun evening to hang out with the ladies.
If you look beyond her beautiful brown eyes, her mischievous smile and that contagious laugh...you will see that Sophie is trouble! She is into everything and moving faster than I can keep up with her! Her favorite things to get into are:
1. Stairs 2. TV 3. Cords plugged into the wall sockets. 4. Vitamins And anything else she can get her hands on.
Our friend Susie manning the boat "Peek-a-boo"! "It only looks like I'm escaping..."
This afternoon, our friends Minh & Susie took Ed, Sophie and I out on their sailboat in Marina Del Rey. Sophie loved being out on the boat and watching the water and the other boats.
Today we explored a new hike in Palos Verdes, CA. The view from the top of the hike was so beautiful with incredible ocean views. We only explored one trail but plan to go back and explore a few more. Sophie once again loved riding in her throne, I mean the backpack......she "talked" the entire hike!
This is me last 4th of July, 9 months pregnant with Sophie. Here we are one year later..... Little Miss America The cousins and their babies....they love their babies!
